Crafty Cardmakers and More #137 - Dots

Hi there!  We have another great challenge for you this fortnight hosted by Sally and the theme is Dots.  You can check out all the great DT creations and link up your own here. As you can probably tell I have a kind of thing for hippos so I love this Magnolia stamp.

Isn't she just the cutest!  I have coloured her with Copics and then fussy cut her out and popped her up on some dimensionals.  You can't see it well in the picture but her polka dots have Wink of Stella Silver on them to give them a sparkle.  Every hippo needs sparkle!

Here is what I have used:

Stamps: Magnolia Gloria Hippo
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock/Paper: My Minds Eye Cut & Paste, Stampin' Up! Chocolate Chip, Stampin' Up! Whisper White
Embellishments: Ribbon from my stash, My Minds Eye Cut & Paste
Copics: W1, W3, W5, W7, BG11, BG13, BG49, Y00, Y000 and Wink of Stella Silver for her polka dots.

Thanks for popping by and make sure you go and check out all the lovely creations!

Crafty Cardmakers and More #136

Hi there and welcome to another Crafty Cardmakers and More Challenge.  This week Mary is hosting and the theme is wings.  So you have probably noticed I don't do fancy.  I love it from afar and covet all the amazing artists that rock this look. I'm more of a clean and simple girl myself!  This week however I found these papers which are so old and I am on a mission to use up some stuff that has just been collecting dust.  This was actually in a scrapbook kit for a layout that I bought when I was still just starting out but alas like many things it never got put together. I pulled all the bits together and made this card instead.

I have fussy cut out all the flowers and the mirror.  The lamp post was plain old chipboard but I coloured it up with good old Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  Of course my wings are the butterflies.  What do you think have I pulled off a fancy card?

Here is what I have used:
Paper: Kaisercraft Chanteuse Collection
Ink: Walnut Stain Distress Ink
Tools: Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Fussy Cutting Scissors
Embellishments: Kaisercraft Chanteuse Collection Die Cut Elements, Flowers from my stash

Ok that is all from me this week make sure you visit all the DT girls and give them some love!

Happy Easter everybody.

Blue Bay Sunday

Hi everyone.  I have had a relaxing day with a Kaisercraft pad and collectables.  I have used the Blue Bay range to create some simple cards.  I love the rustic look of this range and had fun making these.

I have pretty much used just the paper pad and collectables to pull these together.  I have also used a few circle punches and dies.  A bit of ribbon and bling and there you go!  I pulled up some trusty card sketches from Pinterest to give me some inspiration.

These will be available shortly on my facebook page to purchase if you like.

Thanks for popping by

For The Bride

I have been doing my Copic colouring class over at Kit and Clowder and I am practicing hair like a mad woman!  I wanted to practice on this image from La La Land and it seemed a shame not to finish her off.  I had this banner piece and rosette left over from another project sitting on my desk so I decided to go with what I had and made an easel card.
