Helping Hudson Week One Challenges

Well I am just scraping in for the week one challenges over on the Helping Hudson blog. You will have to excuse me but my mojo is severely lacking this week - life is getting in the way! First up is a sketch challenge.

Here is what I used:
Stamps: Cute & Curly
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Bella Rose DSP
Ink: Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Curly Label Punch, Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Eyelet Border Punch
Next up was a colour challenge to use Rose Red, Pretty in Pink and Not Quite Navy. I actually did two cards for this one because I really didn't like the first effort but not that impressed by the second one either! Here is the first one:
Here is what I used:
Stamps: Flight of the Butterfly
Paper: Rose Red, Pretty In Pink, Not Quite Navy
Ink: Rose Red
Accessories: Butterfly Punch, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Pearls from Pretties Kit, Big Shot and Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Here is number two:
Here is what I used:
Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Very Vintage (Wheel)
Paper: Pretty In Pink, Rose Red
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Pretty In Pink, Rose Red
Accessories: Paper Doilie, Pearls from Pretties Kit, Dimensionals
Last but not least was the technique challenge which was rock & roll. This is where you use a light and dark ink and stamp the light colour first and then roll the edges of the stamp in the darker colour. I also used this weeks sketch from Clean & Simple stamping for this one.

Here is what I used:

Stamps: Great Friend (coming again soon!), Stem Sayings

Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, Cottage Wall DSP

Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence

Accessories: Filigree brad

So there they all are just in time - don't forget to check out the Helping Hudson blog and make a donation for a worthy cause.

I love the card with the doily - the splash of flowers around the edge looks great. Thanks for supporting the Helping Hudson fundraiser.
