I'm Back!

Seriously was it really September that I last posted? I have been creating but have been so ultra busy that my blog has just fallen by the wayside. Well anyway here is a card I was asked to make by a friend for her new nephew. I was inspired by this card and am really happy how it turned out. All supplies are Stampin' Up! If you are interested in anything I used then drop me a line.

Don't forget Sale-a-Bration is on at the moment so if you order $100 worth of product you get a free gift! What could be better than freebies :)

I don't guarantee I'll be a regular poster but I'll try and pop in a bit more often!

Custom Mades

I have been making quite a few custom made cards for my customers and thought I would share a few with you here. If you would like to see more make sure you come on over and like my Hipporiffic Happenings page on facebook!

The first card was using the Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel which I simply rolled out then cut them out. The second one is using a retired stamp but was a special horse request. If there is anything you would like to ask about these then please let me know.

Ink: Sage Shadow
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Big Shot, Button #5 Sizzlit, Circles #2 Die, Perfect Polka Dots EF, Twill Tape, Crochet Thread, Dimensionals

Paper Scraps

So like any good crafter I have buckets of scraps lying around begging to be used. I came across this idea in Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft Magazine Vole 16 No 12. I made two different versions and even pulled out the old sewing maching for a bit of interest on the butterfly.
Here is what I used:
Stamps: So Happy For You (Sale-A-Bration set)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Greenhouse Gala DSP, Subtles DSP
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Rhinestones, Big Shot & Bigz Beautiful Butterflies Die, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Daffodil Delight Ribbon
These were super easy to do just get a scrap of cardstock and strips of leftover DSP to make your desired pattern. Add some interest with punched edges and sewing then run the cardstock through your Big Shot with the butterfly die and voila instant jazzy butterflies! This is great for using up all those bits lying around and is a new look too.
Hope you are having a creative day,
Bec

Archer's Naming Day

Last Sunday we held a naming day for our newest addition, Archer. We just had some close friends and family over to help us welcome him into our lives. This is the card I made for him.

Here is what I used:

Stamps: Nil

Paper: Marina Mist, Whisper White

Ink: Whisper White Craft Ink, Marina Mist

Accessories: Big Shot, CB folder, Chipboard letter, Marina Mist Satin ribbon, Star Brad (retired)

For the letter I sponged it with Whisper White craft ink and then sponged over the top with the Marina Mist. I didn't put any sentiment on the front as nothing seemed quite appropriate. We had a lovely day although I think he was wondering what all the fuss was about!

Happy Stamping,

Pendant Park

This card was for the Creative Card Crew challenge which was Autumn/Fall. Although here we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Summer after a very long, cold winter I thought I would play along. I don't really have any Autumn stamps but with some Autumn colour choices I think I did okay. I used my markers to colour the leaves on the tree all the shades of Autumn.

Materials Used:
Stamps: Pendant Park, Tiny Tags
Paper: Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Very Vanilla
Ink: Soft Suede, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Big Shot, CB Woodgrain EB Folder, Scallop Circle Bigz Die, Circle Scissor Plus, Twill Tape, Medium Jewellry Tag Punch, Crochet Thread
What do you think? Please leave a comment!
Happy stamping,
Bec

Get Well

The last two months have been quite stressful in my family with my dad being very ill and in hospital. This is a card I made him when he was first admitted.

Materials Used:

Stamps: Lots of Bots

Paper: Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Unknown DP

Ink: Basic Grey, Black Staz-on. Riding Hood Red

Accessories: Big Shot, Scallop Circle, Circle Scissors Plus, Crimper, Twill Tape, Eyelets

I paper pierced some of the robot to tie him in with the DP. Good news is it looks like dad is on the long road to recovery.

Happy stamping
