Big News!

Well I have been very lax in posting lately and for that I apologise but I have a good reason! We are expecting baby number 3! Unfortunately I am feeling very poorly so my poor stamping room has been rather unused! We are very excited so in honour here is another baby card that I made ages ago that I didn't get around to posting.

Notice this one is generic colours! Even though it is too early yet to tell we won't be finding out what sex the baby is - a surprise is always nice. Here is what I used:

Stamps: Short & Sweet
Paper: So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Tea Party DSP
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, Word Window Punch, Large Oval Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, So Saffron Ribbon, Non SU Googly Eyes and Puff Paint.
I went to Melbourne Regionals this weekend with my sister-in-law. We decided to drive over and visit and I got to go with someone I knew! It was great and we got some cool sneak peeks and new stuff coming up in the Summer Mini. You will love it!
Take care,
Rebecca

Two Challenges in One

I did this one the other day for Mojo Monday sketch 105 and Colour Challenge 237 on Splitcoasters. I must admit at first I wasn't sure about those colours together but I think it turned out kinda nice.

Here is what I used:

Stamps: Organic Grace (Hostess)

Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Summer Sun, Basic Black, Watercolour Paper

Ink: Staz-On Black, Elegant Eggplant, Summer Sun

Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Markers, Blender Pen, Dimensionals, CB, Non-SU Ribbon, Brads, Rub-On

I watercoloured the flowers with markers and blender pen then cut one out and popped it up on dimensionals.

Thanks for dropping by and happy stamping,

Bec

October Specials

October already! Nearly Christmas. We have a great special for you this month to celebrate World Card Making Day on 3rd October. For this month only when you purchase a Simply Sent Card Elements set (pgs 140 & 141 of the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalogue) you can get 20% of the coordinating stamp set! How cool is that. The papers and colours in these sets are just brilliant and you can make a multitude of different cards with the coordinating stamp set. If this interests you drop me a line and place an order.

A card for today:

Here is what I used:

Stamps: A Happy Heart, Sweet Little Sentiments (Hostess), French Script (Retried)

Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Basic Black

Ink: White Staz-On, Versamark, Basic Black

Accessories: Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Small Oval Punch, Black Embossing Powder, Clear Rhinestone Brad, Corner Rounder Punch, Dimensionals, Non SU Ribbon, Non SU Stick on Bling

I embossed the hearts with black EP and then cut them out popping the top one up on dimensionals. The background was stamped with white Staz-On which looks great on a black background.

Thanks for dropping by,

Bec

Where Is Summer?

I had a request to make a beach wedding card so I decided to make a shaker card. Here is what I used:
Stamps: A Happy Heart, Scribble This
Paper: Whisper White, Kraft, Baja Breeze
Ink: Baja Breeze, Staz-On White
Accessories: Coluzzle with oval template, acetate, sand, ribbon, sea charms, rub-on, martha stewart crystal bling
Hopefully making a summery type card will inspire the season to make an appearance. It has been the worst weather here over the last few days with the sun only deciding to poke its head out late today. We all have colds again - go away winter!
Happy stamping,
Bec

Stamp Club - Christmas Cards

This was for this month's stamp clubs which had a Christmas theme cos lets face it - it is comin around quick! The first project was embossing.

Here is what I used:

Stamps: Tree Trimmings, Best Yet (Hostess)

Paper: Very Vanilla, Not Quite Navy, Bella Bleu DSP

Ink: Not Quite Navy, Versamark

Accessories: Gold EP, Non-SU Ribbon, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Dimensionals

We stamped the bottom ornaments in Not Quite Navy and then Gold embossed the one in the middle cutting it out and popping it up on Dimensionals.

The next card was a Joy Fold Card.

Here is what I used:

Stamps: Season of Joy, Best Yet (Hostess)

Paper: Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Holiday Treasures DSP

Ink: Old Olive, Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip

Accessories: Designer Label Punch, Paper Piercer and Mat Pack, Bone Folder, Dimensionals

The middle flap lifts up from under the Designer Label Punch sentiment to reveal the inside of the card which looks like this:

This is a fun and easy fold to make a different and interesting type of card.

For our 3D project we made and Explosion Box.

Here is what I used:

Stamps: Cute & Curly, Season of Joy

Paper: Old Olive, Ski Slope DSP

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive

Accessories: Curly Label Punch, Old Olive Ribbon, Non SU Silver Twine, Scorer and Bone Folder

Great tutorials for all these projects can be found on Splitcoasterstampers under the resources section along with many other fabulous ones!

Have a great day,

Bec

A Card for Grandfather

This card was for my grandfather that I made using SC244. It was a combination birthday and father's day card.

Here is what I used:

Stamps: Lovely As A Tree, Wonderful Favourites

Paper: Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Windsor Knot DSP

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Sage Shadow

Accessores: Cuttlebug, Eyelets, Crop-A-Dile, Word Window Punch, Dimensionals

It doesn't really show in the photo but the tree foliage is a combo of Old Olive and Sage Shadow to add a bit of texture.

Thanks for dropping by!

Another Class Card

This was another card for the Father's Day Class I just did. I wanted to do something with generation stamping and liked these horses for that in the Wanted set. Tried to get out of my comfort zone with colours for men (I really don't like making men cards!).

Here is what I used:

Stamps: Wanted, Oval All

Paper: More Mustard, Old Olive, Haiku DSP

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive

Accessories: Buckle (from my stash), Old Olive Ribbon, Star Brads (from my stash), Scallop Oval Punch, Dimensionals

Have a great day - the sun is shining!
