Busy, Busy, Busy

Hi had a flat out weekend so haven't posted - sorry. We had our Relay For Life this weekend which we fundraise for all year but this was the actual event - a 19 hour relay to raise money and support for the Cancer Council of SA, and guess what?

WE WON THE HIGHEST FUNDRAISING TEAM!!!

How fantastic is that! Through the year our team raised over $21,000. I am so proud of everyone. Here is a photo of our wonderful team.

Our theme this year was butterflies and we also won the best dressed tent. See the huge butterfly in the middle - Kathryn made that out of paper mache it took her ages (and then her hubby wanted to put it in the bin!). She is a talented chook.

Well time for another card from some new goodies:

Stamps: Good Friend; Paper: Pink Pirouette, Creamy Caramel and scrap DP;Accessories: 5 petal flower punch, 3/4" circle punch, brad and small hole punch to make the ticket corners on tag.

Oh and to top off the extra busy weekend - Oscar fractured his arm! Poor baby fell off the playgym on Thursday night and fractured it right at the top of his humerus so it can't be plastered. Try having to keep a sling on a 2 year old!

Always is Back

Well I finally got my new catalogues - it was rather exciting! I was pleased to see that Always made it into the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalogue as it was one of my favourites from the spring mini and it means I can get it out of retirement! Mum asked me Friday night to make a wedding card by Sunday (no pressure though) and this is what I came up with. I used:

Paper: Whisper White and some metallic gold from my stash
Ink: Versamark and gold embossed the hearts and sentiment
Stamps: Always and Basic Phrases
Accessories: Stick on Pearls (again from that stash), ribbon, paper piercer and template and small oval punch.

I think it looks rather classy and would you believe it exactly matches the present they bought (some glass bowl thingy) so mum was rapt.

Thought I would show you this cute photo of my Oscar driving the V8 wearing my glasses.

Isn't he just precious!

Cutie Pie Hedgehog

How cute is this little guy from the Fun & Fast Notes. Also used Short & Sweet for the sentiment and spinkles for the background on the vanilla. The DP is Afternoon Tea and combined that with choc chip, very vanilla and some choc chip ribbon.

Long Weekend Wind Down

Just recovering from the long weekend here in Adelaide. We took the family up to Moonta and boy am I exhausted - so much for a relaxing weekend away. Oscar decided he wasn't sleeping in a bed by himself and would only sleep with me and that took a lot of coaxing every night I can tell you. Therefore he took over the entire bed and I slept hardly a wink and he was grumbly all weekend from lack of sleep! Next time I'm going on my own!

It is our wedding anniversary today - 13 years. Here is the card I made for Guy.

Used Rose Red Cardstock for the base and hearts. This was for LSC206 over on splitcoast which was to only stamp a sentiment. I used the hostess set So Many Sayings and punched them out with the word window punch. Some left over wrapping paper and hearts cut out with my wonderful cricut maching, some snazzy silver ribbon and there you have it!

Retirement List is Here!

Well the list is out. I waited up until midnight on Saturday night to download (I know how sad am I!). There is 2 pages of retiring products. Sad to see some old favourites go but exciting to realise we will get a whole heap of new stuff soon!
If you want to order anything from the retirement list get your order in to me ASAP as it is only while stocks last and heaps of stuff is 25% off!
I made this baby card with Figures of Speech which is on the list so will be going soon. This was the very first set I ever bought from Stampin' Up! That is what started my obsession. Keep tuned for more retirement cards.
Happy Stamping.
