Custom Mades

I have been making quite a few custom made cards for my customers and thought I would share a few with you here. If you would like to see more make sure you come on over and like my Hipporiffic Happenings page on facebook!

The first card was using the Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel which I simply rolled out then cut them out. The second one is using a retired stamp but was a special horse request. If there is anything you would like to ask about these then please let me know.

Special Blessing

Hi all - long time no see (as usual)! I haven't been too creative of late as I got kicked out of my craft room again! So after much spending of the money at Ikea I am re-established. I have taken over the formal lounge/dining room which gives me more room but now I can't just shut the door on the mess I have to stay tidy eeekkk! I have created something to show you though - spoiler alert Susan Byers if you are reading this don't go any further! This is for my niece's upcoming confirmation.

I cased the popped up cross idea from this card by the fabulous Silke Ledlow (aka sparklegirl). Love her designs :). This was also sketch challenge #71 over on Inkspirations but alas I was too late as usual to enter! Although this set is retired I think it will still get a lot of ink from me as I love it! Here is what I used:

Stamps: Special Blessings (retired)

Paper: Almost Amethyst (retired), Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Non-SU DP

Ink: Almost Amethyst (retired), Certainly Celery

Accessories: Big-Shot, Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die, Certainly Celery Ribbon (retired), Dimensionals, Rhinestone

Hope you are having inky fun,

Bec

Paper Scraps

So like any good crafter I have buckets of scraps lying around begging to be used. I came across this idea in Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft Magazine Vole 16 No 12. I made two different versions and even pulled out the old sewing maching for a bit of interest on the butterfly.
Here is what I used:
Stamps: So Happy For You (Sale-A-Bration set)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Greenhouse Gala DSP, Subtles DSP
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Rhinestones, Big Shot & Bigz Beautiful Butterflies Die, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Daffodil Delight Ribbon
These were super easy to do just get a scrap of cardstock and strips of leftover DSP to make your desired pattern. Add some interest with punched edges and sewing then run the cardstock through your Big Shot with the butterfly die and voila instant jazzy butterflies! This is great for using up all those bits lying around and is a new look too.
Hope you are having a creative day,
Bec

Flood Appeal

We all know how devestating the floods have been throughout Queensland, NSW and Victoria. Stampin' Up! is doing their part to help those affected.

As flood waters continue to inundate Australia in what has been described as the worst flooding in 37 years, we express our deepest sympathies to those who have lost loved ones and homes and to those whose lives have been changed forever. We, like so many of you, feel a compelling need to lend support to all those who have been affected.
Stampin' Up! demonstrators have a long history of making a difference in the lives of others--especially when disaster strikes and the need is greatest. Nearly two years ago, we watched another tragedy unfold in Australia. Our hearts were touched as demonstrators, customers and friends joined together in support of the Bushfire Appeal. We've done it before and we can certainly do it again!
Please join with us by supporting the Australia Flood Appeal--a cause in which Stampin' Up! will donate $2 AUD of the retail value of sales from any stamp set (with a retail value of $30 or more) sold in Australia and New Zealand from 15 January through 15 February to the State Emergency Services in Queensland.
Please help us make a difference by placing an order today. If there is something you have wanted for a while then this is the perfect time to order as you will not only be getting that fantastic product but helping others at the same time!
Happy stamping,
Bec

Clean and Simple Cards

I liked the sketch 121 on Clean & Simple so decided to pull out one of my favourite sets that hasn't seen much ink of late. I got on such a roll I made a whole set of 8 using all the stamps and the same sketch. Here they are:

I embossed the images with black EP onto watercolour paper and then coloured using my markers and an aquapainter. I won't list everything I used but it is all 99% SU and most of the DSP is retired but if there is anything you would like to know then drop me a line. That's all from me today - got a bit of a fuzzy head after last nights festivities. I'm getting too old for this!
Happy new year,
Bec
