Fathers Day

Fathers day is fast approaching here in Australia so I thought I better get going on some male cards.  I really don't enjoy making them lol!  The challenge this fortnight at Crafty Cardmakers and More is - No Patterned Paper.  Ideal theme for a male card I think.

Here is what I have used:

Paper/Card: Stampin' Up! Basic Black, Always Artichoke (I think!), Whisper White
Stamps: Stampin' Up! Motorcycle
Ink: Stampin' Up! Basic Black
Embellishments: Ribbon from my stash and American Crafts Cork Stars
Tools: Cuttlebug Gears Embossing Folder

So I just embossed the layers with the gears embossing folder and layered it up.  Pretty quick and simple.

Thanks for popping by and don't forget to head on over and see all the other amazing creations this fortnight.

Great masculine card, Bec. You just can't go wrong with that awesome Motorcycle stamp. The embossed background is the perfect complement. Thanks for joining in the fun at Just Add Ink this week.

Very cool embossing folder and the machine elements match up so well with the motorbike.

Great Fathers Day card. I like all the blokey elements on your card - embossing, image and colours. Chantell JAI

Love all the cog textures in your embossed background Rebecca. Makes a fabulous background for the classic motorcycle stamp. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.

Oh I'm not a fan of making male cards either.... I wonder why so many of us find it hard?
Anyway I think you've done an awesome job and I particularly like the embossing in the background. Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink.

Isn't it amazing how we all seem to struggle with cards for Men.
This is fabulous.
