New Rubber!

I got my pre-order for the Autumn/Winter mini starting next month so wanted to ink some up straight away. This is a new a la carte stamp called Sail Away. Here is what I used:
Stamps: Sail Away, Vintage Labels (retired)
Paper: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Elegant Soiree DSP
Ink: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
Accessories: Jumbo Eyelets, Small Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Dimensionals

Happy stamping

Flood Appeal

We all know how devestating the floods have been throughout Queensland, NSW and Victoria. Stampin' Up! is doing their part to help those affected.

As flood waters continue to inundate Australia in what has been described as the worst flooding in 37 years, we express our deepest sympathies to those who have lost loved ones and homes and to those whose lives have been changed forever. We, like so many of you, feel a compelling need to lend support to all those who have been affected.
Stampin' Up! demonstrators have a long history of making a difference in the lives of others--especially when disaster strikes and the need is greatest. Nearly two years ago, we watched another tragedy unfold in Australia. Our hearts were touched as demonstrators, customers and friends joined together in support of the Bushfire Appeal. We've done it before and we can certainly do it again!
Please join with us by supporting the Australia Flood Appeal--a cause in which Stampin' Up! will donate $2 AUD of the retail value of sales from any stamp set (with a retail value of $30 or more) sold in Australia and New Zealand from 15 January through 15 February to the State Emergency Services in Queensland.
Please help us make a difference by placing an order today. If there is something you have wanted for a while then this is the perfect time to order as you will not only be getting that fantastic product but helping others at the same time!
Happy stamping,
Bec

Clean and Simple Cards

I liked the sketch 121 on Clean & Simple so decided to pull out one of my favourite sets that hasn't seen much ink of late. I got on such a roll I made a whole set of 8 using all the stamps and the same sketch. Here they are:

I embossed the images with black EP onto watercolour paper and then coloured using my markers and an aquapainter. I won't list everything I used but it is all 99% SU and most of the DSP is retired but if there is anything you would like to know then drop me a line. That's all from me today - got a bit of a fuzzy head after last nights festivities. I'm getting too old for this!
Happy new year,
Bec

MOJO170 Going Vintage

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and got spoilt rotten! I am loving having the hubby home at the moment as it gives me the opportunity to do some craft just for fun. I went to a class at my local scrapbook store last week and had some bits of product left over so thought I would use them for some cards. The sketch over at Mojo Monday this week was a goodie so thought I would give it a go. These papers lend themselves to the vintage look which I must admit is so not me although I absolutely love it just can't seem to get the look I envisage when I start. All well I guess practice makes ..... acceptable?
Here is what I used:
Stamps: Perfect Punchest
Paper: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Hollywood Vogue DP by Webster's Pages (I think)
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Antique Brad, Big Shot, Beautiful Wings Embossilit Die, Vintage Wallpaper EF, Ribbon, Pearl
While I was at it I used up some more of the same stuff to make this one. I liked the peacock on the paper so wanted that to feature.

Again not to sure if it works but hey at least I gave it a go. Here is what I used:

Stamps: Echoes of Kindness (retired)

Paper: Pale Plum (retired), same DP. Ink: Clear Versamark

Accessories: Satin Pearl EP, ribbon, flowers, pearls, Martha Stewart Punch, Big Shot, Spellbinders die

Hope you get some crafting time in during the silly season.

Happy stamping and stay safe,

Bec

Archer's Naming Day

Last Sunday we held a naming day for our newest addition, Archer. We just had some close friends and family over to help us welcome him into our lives. This is the card I made for him.

Here is what I used:

Stamps: Nil

Paper: Marina Mist, Whisper White

Ink: Whisper White Craft Ink, Marina Mist

Accessories: Big Shot, CB folder, Chipboard letter, Marina Mist Satin ribbon, Star Brad (retired)

For the letter I sponged it with Whisper White craft ink and then sponged over the top with the Marina Mist. I didn't put any sentiment on the front as nothing seemed quite appropriate. We had a lovely day although I think he was wondering what all the fuss was about!

Happy Stamping,

Bec

It's A Coming!

I have all of a sudden started to panic as Christmas is just around the corner. My kids are madly making lists and pouring over the tonnes of junk mail (literally) that is arriving in our letter box each day. As usual I have not made any Christmas cards so need to get my butt into gear. Am seriously lacking inspiration at the moment. I have all of these gorgeous new products to play with but at the end of the day I am so exhausted dealing with a very grump 6 month old and mischevous 3 year old and not to mention the "I fast becoming a moody teenager" 11 year old that I just can't get motivated to do anything. Hopefully that changes fast. Here is a card we made for the new catalogue launch which is using one of my favourite sets.
Here is what I have used:
Stamps: Contempo Christmas
Paper: Garden Green, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: Scallop Trim Border Punch, Ornament Extra-Large Punch, Silver Brads, Whisper White Ribbon, Dimensionals, Two-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds
When the girls were making this at the launch a very clever bunny decided that stamping the sentiment in Craft White and putting Dazzling Diamonds over the top was much more effective and I have to agree. That is why I love getting together with like minded stampers as great ideas always come out.
Stay tuned for some more christmas cards (hopefully) and don't forget the Christmas promo currently running.

Robots!

My 3 year old Oscar is obsessed with robots so when I saw this paper I bought it with him in mind. The Cinema Saturday Challenge #96 this week was the movie Ironman. I think this movie although being an action flick is a little bit of a love story as well. It was that which inspired this card. The requirement was also to use metal which is my silver card which has a metallic finish. I also used this weeks sketch on Mojo Monday #157.

Materials Used (all Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated):

Stamps: For You Flower
Paper: Basic Black, Baja Breeze, More Mustard, Whisper White, Metallic Silver, Kaisercraft K-Bots DP
Ink: Ruby Red (retired)
Accessories: Small Heart Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Dimensionals, From my stash flower and ribbon
Thanks for stopping by,
Bec

This card was for the Creative Card Crew challenge which was Autumn/Fall. Although here we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Summer after a very long, cold winter I thought I would play along. Stamps: Pendant Park, Tiny Tags
Paper: Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Very Vanilla
Ink: Soft Suede, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Big Shot, CB Woodgrain EB Folder, Scallop Circle Bigz Die, Circle Scissor Plus, Twill Tape, Medium Jewellry Tag Punch, Crochet Thread
What do you think? Please leave a comment!
