Crafty Cardmakers #175

The theme this fortnight is "Things That Go Bump In The Night".   There is a great prize up for grabs from Woodware Craft Collection as well.  I honestly have really nothing Halloween in my crafting stash - not a big deal here in Australia (as much as the retailers are trying their hardest to make it more popular!).  So my inspiration if my cat Shadow (yes he is black) who quite often goes bump in the night especially at 3am - the witching hour for him!

Here is what I have used:

Card/Paper: SU Basic Black, Whisper White, Orange (from my stash), SU Perfect Plum DP
Stamps: SU Window Dressing, SU Every Little Bit, SU Tiny Tags
Ink: Memento Black
Embellishments: Ribbon, Twine (all from my stash)
Tools: SU Chevron Embossing Folder, SU Tiny Tag Punch

We hope you can join us this fortnight for a great challenge and don't forget to check out all the awesome designs here.

Crafty Cardmakers #172

Hi everyone.  Welcome to another Crafty Cardmakers Challenge.  Marlene is hosting this fortnight and the theme is layers.  It was Father's Day here in Australia this last weekend so I have been creating some masculine cards.

Here is what I have used:
Card/Paper: SU Basic Black, Teresa Collins DSP
Stamps: SU Thoughtful Banners
Ink: Archival Black
Embellishments:  Striped Thin Washi Tape (from my stash), all other elements were cut from the DSP
Tools: SU Banner Punch

There are about 6 layers on this card and I have popped them up on foam dots to give it some dimension which is hard to see in the photo.  There is another star popped up in the centre.

Hope you get a chance to play along with us this fortnight and make sure you check out all the wonderful creations here.

Funky Flair Studio August Challenge Inspiration

This months new challenge is up and it is just gorgeous!  You can play along here taking inspiration from this yummy photo.

Here is what I have used:

Card/Paper: SU Whisper White and Pool Party Cardstock, Kaisercraft Cork Sheet

Some Funky Flair Goodness

I have some cards to share that I have designed for Funky Flair Studio and haven't yet shared here.

This one was for a little blokes 2nd birthday.  I have used some Kaisercraft papers and embellishments for this one and of course that gorgeous Chevron flair.

I had these super cute Alice in Wonderland images that I had already coloured ages ago (sorry I lost my digital copy and not sure what company they are from).  I used this great flair that says "We're all Mad Here"for the mad hatters tea party.

This wonderful Watercolor Wash stamp is a new addition to my collection from Stampin' Up! and I love the effect it gives.  The congrats wood embellishment is also from SU.  This heart flair from the "Watercolour Hearts" range complimented my colours perfectly.

If you haven't check out the Funky Flair Studio website yet then head on over as there are so many gorgeous flairs to choose from.  Also why not check out the inspiration challenge page  on facebook where each month there is a new challenge and fabulous prizes to be won.  We would love to see you join us.

Happy crafting,
